Macka Diamond forms the 'Galliance'

Deejay Macka Diamond has organised her own crew of talented female artistes a la Bounty Killer of the Alliance. She says that it is not a gimmick and the 'Galliance' is hear to stay.

Last week, the Galliance stepped out in full gear and its members include Lady G, Queen Paula, newcomers Black Queen and Champagne, and of course, Macka Diamond.

"It is a group of friends who have come together for the advancement of female artistes as a collective in the business. We realize that the selectors are not playing the women deejays in the dance, so we felt that if we organised as a force, maybe it would change their attitudes towards females," Macka Diamond told one876entertainment.

"What we need now is two females who can go to the selectors and pressure them - with their feminine charms of course - to play the females more."

Asked how Bounty Killer might feel about her ripping off his name, she joked:

"Him nah go say nothing about it, Killer know say me ah the Gangstress so him have to be careful how he steps to me."

She continued: "But seriously, he won't have any problem, him nah go object to it, him see we roll go up to Up Yah Fridays and see we ah go do we ting and him nu have a problem."

Macka Diamond will be bringing her weekly show Money O Sundays to Kingston this week to the complex opposite the gas station at the intersection of Dunrobin and Constant Spring roads.

"Come out and enjoy yourselves, Galliance in the building," she said, laughing.
